INFORMATION ABOUT DOCTORAL AND POST-GRADUATE STUDIES IN THE ANAS INSTITUTE OF GEOLOGY AND GEOPHYSICS


Taking into account the priorities for the development of geological and geophysical sciences for 2020–2025 and in order to increase the level of highly qualified specialists competence in doctoral and post-graduate studies in the Institute of geology and geophysics, it is necessary to develop the following specialties.

Doctorate (PhD program):

2507.01 - “Geophysics, geophysical methods of minerals exploration”

1. Integrated geological-mathematical model of seismic hazards of the Kakhetino-Vandam zone of the Greater Caucasus.

2. Deterministic seismic analysis of the southeastern part of the Greater Caucasus and adjacent waters.

3. Modern kinematics of the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus according to GPS geodesy and seismology.

2512.01 – “General and regional geology” (paleontology and stratigraphy)

1. Stratigraphic significance, biogeochemistry and paleoecology of foraminifera of Miocene deposits of the East Azerbaijan.

2. The study of ruptural and folded structures of the Vandam zone of the Greater Caucasus (according to remote sensing data).

2521.01 - “Geology, search and exploration of oil and gas fields”

The role of mud volcanism in the oil and gas deposits generation (on the base on geoseismic modeling).
