Basic scientific achievements |
A genetic-formational systematics of Meso-Cenozoic ore-bearing metasomatites of Lesser Caucasus has been developed. Geological-genetic and volume-geochemical models of the Garadag field of the porphyry- copper and geological-genetic model of Dashkesan field of the skarn-magnetite ores have been developed. Multifactorial genetic-petrological model of contact-thermal metamorphism of the Meso-Cenozoic intrusions of Lesser Caucasus has been developed. Mineral-pumpelyite, being new for Lesser Caucasus, has been revealed and studied by all modern mineralogical methods. The high-temperature thermal changes in the contact areas of the ultramafic intrusive massifs of the ophiolite associations of the central part of the Lesser Caucasus have been revealed and studied. The mineralogical boundaries of the hornfelsing and skarning processes in the aluminosilicate medium in the condition of Dashkesan ore field have been determined. The calcium skarns’ convergence of Earth’s crust has been proved (by the example of calcium skarns of Lesser Caucasus). “Ore-magmatic systems” of Meso-Cenozoic age have been defined and characterized in the Lesser Caucasus and the idea of dual (direct and indirect) evolution of their hydrothermal activity have been proposed. The mother lodes of the placer gold in Nakhchyvan folded area have been determined by the example of Bashkend field. Typomorphic peculiarities of placer gold of Bashkend field of Nakhchyvan AR have been revealed and studied. Tin content of the calcium skarns of Ordubad ore region has been determined. Generally more than 20 scientific results as important scientific achivements were included in reports of Academy of Sciences of USSR and Azerbaijan Academy of Sciences. |
