IGG PROFESSOR TOOK PART IN THE SEMINAR “PROBLEMS OF REMOTE SENSING OF THE EARTH FROM SPACE”
December 22, 2021
A scientific session of the General meeting of the Russian Academy of Sciences was held at the RAS Space Research Institute (Moscow). Professor Fuad Hajizadeh (the ANAS Institute of Geology and Geophysics) also took an active part in this meeting.
The work review for the past two decades related to the development of methods and tools for satellite measurements of carbon dioxide (CO2 and CN4) concentrations, which play an important role in climate change in the Russian Federation and abroad was presented in the meeting. The physical-mathematical foundations of the measurements interpretation of the modern satellite spectrometers of the near-IR ranges of spectrum were considered. The information was also provided on programs for the development of local and foreign satellite systems for monitoring CO2 and CH4 in the atmosphere, as well as ground-based observing networks that can be used to calibrate and test satellite information products.
Professor Fuad Hajizadeh made a report on the scientific work done in the field of space research in Azerbaijan. The scientist’s report was listened to with great interest and highly appreciated.
