AZERBAIJANI AND UKRAINIAN SCIENTISTS CONDUCT JOINT RESEARCH

Azerbaijani and Ukrainian scientists are conducting joint researches to study the geological structure of the Caucasus region.
At the end of 2019, the agreement on scientific cooperation was signed between the ANAS Institute of Oil and Gas and the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. According to agreement the joint research on “Study of the geological structure of sedimentary basins of the Caucasus region in connection with their oil and gas potential” will be carried out.
During 2020-2022 the researches will be conducted in the field of “Stratigraphy, paleontology and paleogeographic conditions of the Cenozoic sediments of the Pre-Caucasian and Transcaucasia with determination of the relative dating of sedimentary series for different groups of microfauna and microflora".
Within the framework of agreement the senior researcher of the Department of Modern Marine Sedimentogenesis of the Institute of Geological Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, candidate of geological sciences Anna-Christiana Klushina visited the Institute of Oil and Gas of ANAS to carried out the joint researches on the deposits of the Maikop series of Azerbaijan. A.V. Klushina got acquainted with the researches carried out in the Institute of Oil and Gas of ANAS.
