Young scientists and specialists of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics of ANAS were held next assembly. Assembly was held under the chairmanship of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS, Ph.D. in Earth Sciences, Associate Professor Orhan Abbasov, the research results on "Lithostratigraphy and zeolite mineralization of Upper Cretaceous deposits of the north-eastern foothills of the Lesser Caucasus" were discussed.

The employee of the Department of Paleontology and Stratigraphy, Master Arzuman Rizvanogly gave summarized data connected to the lithostratigraphic subdivision of Upper Cretaceous deposits, as well as the associated zeolite mineralization of Gazakh trough, a part of the Lok-Garabagh structural and formational zone of the northeastern foothills of the Lesser Caucasus in his paper. The rock compositions of the Aidak zeolite field, as well as the possibility of their use in different fields were studied on the base of non-metallic mineral deposits related to Upper Cretaceous volcanism.

Assembly’s members heard with interest to the paper. At the end, reporter answered numerous questions.
