The Deputy Director in science, corresponding member of ANAS Dadash Huseynov opened the meeting and said that the seminar topic was the thesis discussion of the senior specialist of the Department of Relations with CIS countries of the Foreign Relations Office under the Presidium of ANAS Ayten Huseynova “Isotopic geochemistry of fluid flows in the Shamakhy-Gobustan and Lower Kura regions in the potential oil-and-gas industry” (IGG Dissertation Board - ED 1.01; 2521.01 - “Geology, search and exploration of oil and gas fields”).
Then, the defender of thesis Ayten Huseynova made a report on the “Isotopic geochemistry of fluid flows in the Shamakhy-Gobustan and Lower Kura regions in the potential oil-and-gas industry”. A.Huseynova noted that the isotope and geochemical parameters and the changes in fluid formation conditions were discovered on the base of complex data on mud volcanoes of the Shamakhy-Gobustan and Lower Kura regions. A new assessment of the hydrocarbons potential was given.
The reviewers – candidate of geological and mineralogical sciences Adelya Kabulova and PhD in Geology and Mineralogy, associate professor Galina Martynova made the points and reported on the thesis.
At the end A. Huseynova answered numerous questions of the seminar participants.
Based on secret ballot, the scientific seminar members decided to submit A. Huseynovas thesis “Isotopic geochemistry of fluid flows in the Shamakhy-Gobustan and Lower Kura regions in the potential oil-and-gas industry” to defense in the Specialized Scientific Council.
