Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences Geology Institute has organized lecture about mud volcanoes of Azerbaijan at school by name academician Zarifa Aliyeva. Chief  of the department of mud volcanizm of the institute, the doctor of geology-mineralogy sciences professor Adil Aliyev has informed the pupils of IX, X,XI class of the school in his lecture there are more than 1000 mud volcanoes in 36 countries of the world. More than 300 of them are in Azerbaijan. The number of mud volcanoes here differs very much according to morphological features, high activity and beautiful view from other countries.

Formation of the mud volcanoes, mechanism of eruption, geological products  emerged to surface, about their useful information in medical, in mode and in the construction has been listened by juveniles with big interest. It is noted that in the lecture,named “ 7 miracles of the nature” other commerce organization of the Switzerland has organized international competition in the same name. The name of 440 monuments of nature has been dropped to the competition from 222 countries. There are mud volcanoes of Azerbaijan in their row too. This unusual nature  monuments of our country is in final at present . The results of competition will be known in 2011. Pupils have not come to the meeting with scientists in empty-handed.

They speak from nature subjects in front of geologists . They have gone excursion to Dashgil mud volcano in Elet with together  pupils . Teacher collective of school asked geologists to organize the corner of written and descriptive information about mud volcano for school.

The intention of Geology Institute to increase interest to geological nature monument among pupils with this kind of lecture.
